Come and Play Reading Bingo

As a way to share books that students and faculty read over the summer, the library has created an interactive bingo board. Readers have been sharing titles that fit into categories like A Book That Made You Laugh, A Work of Historical Fiction, or A Book About Inequality.

What did you read this summer? Stop by the library and add a book you read to the board. There are still a few spaces left and we are handing out free books to all participants (while supplies last.) Or come in and see what other teachers and students read over the summer and get some book recommendations!

Don't Leave for Spring Break Without a Book!

There is only one day left to stop by the library to pick up something to read over the break.  Your friendly librarians have assembled a collection for you to peruse, including books by authors like John Green, George Saunders, Rainbow Rowell, and Marcus Zusak.  Stop by and check one out or talk to one of us if you need a specific recommendation.

Of course, you can take advantage of our ebook collection at any time.  If you need any help setting up your ereader, make sure to see us in the library before you leave for break!

Summer Reading

Hopefully, everyone will find some time to read this summer.  If you don’t already have a stockpile of books waiting for you, check out one of these library recommendations:

• Watch CEO Sheryl Sandberg talk about her latest book Lean In on The Daily Show.
• The World War II novel Frozen in Time makes it onto Salon’s list of Summer’s Best Reads.  
• The New York Times called The Tenth of December by George Saunders the best book you’ll read this year.  
• Listen to an interview on NPR with Mary Roach, who brings humor to the subject of  digestion in her latest book, Gulp.  
• Read a review of Transatlantic's interconnected stories by Colum McCann in The Washington Post.

Also, don’t forget to utilize the library’s ebook collection over the summer!   If you need help getting set up, make sure to stop by the library before next week.
