Do you want to see the real thing? Not just the text, but the original version of a very old newspaper article?
One of our brand-new library databases, "America's Historical Newspapers" (1690-1922), is a terrific source for research on a huge range of historical topics. For instance, do a search on the Anarchist movement and you'll find newspaper articles on the radical Emma Goldman from 1892 to 1922 that appear exactly as they appeared in print. Plus, they're searchable! View and search this database for illustrations, ads, classifieds, birth and marriage announcements, obituaries, stories and more.
Just recently, "America's Historical Newspapers" was referred to in a New York Times article "The Biographer's New Best Friend" by Stephen Mihm published online September 10, 2011.
